Cookie Policy
A plain-English explanation of the cookies this site uses, why, and how to control them.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They’re widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Some information can also be stored using similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage — we treat these the same way as cookies throughout this policy.
Our approach
We keep cookie use to a minimum. This site does not use advertising cookies, does not sell or share data with ad networks, and does not embed third-party trackers such as social media “like” buttons or YouTube/Vimeo videos. Where we do use analytics, we’ve chosen a cookieless, privacy-first option rather than a conventional tracking script.
When you first visit, you’ll see a banner asking you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential ones, or manage your preferences in detail. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose to allow it. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every page.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These cannot be switched off, as the site can’t function properly without them. Under PECR they don’t require your consent, but we’re listing them here for transparency.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cookie_consent |
Remembers your cookie preferences so we don’t ask you again on every visit. | 6 months |
PHPSESSID |
Standard server session cookie, set only while you’re actively filling in an enquiry form, to protect the submission against forgery. | Ends when you close your browser |
Analytics (optional — off until you allow it)
If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic (e.g. which pages are popular, roughly how many people visit). It’s a privacy-first product that does not use cookies or any persistent identifier, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites — so in most cases it wouldn’t strictly require consent under PECR at all. We still include it in the cookie banner as an optional category for full transparency, and it stays off unless you actively switch it on.
Advertising / marketing
We don’t use any advertising or marketing cookies, and there are currently no plans to.
Third-party cookies
This site doesn’t embed third-party content (video, maps, social widgets) that would set its own cookies. Any demo videos on this site are hosted directly by us, not embedded from YouTube/Vimeo, precisely to avoid pulling in third-party trackers.
Managing cookies in your browser
As well as using the controls on this site, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Every browser is different — see your browser’s help pages, or a general guide such as the ICO’s cookies guidance. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site (such as enquiry forms) working properly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. Material changes will reset your stored preference so you’re asked again.
